How I got the kids to get out and go for a walk today

I wrote a list of 8 things to look for on our walk. They had to find 5 items to win a prize! My hastily scribbled items to look for included: a yellow car, something pink, a dog, a motorcycle. They were excited to explore and brought a marker to cross out items out as they found them.
